The designer will determine color palette, color options and where to start and stop color to create character, contrast, balance, enhance the architecture of the room and add dimension. (sometimes using contrasting colors and accents) Next the designer will present the different options for finishes including Wall Glazing, Italian Marmarino Plaster,Venetian Plasters, ect. We help you determine which finish is the best for your space and budget. The designer goes through all of the steps while taking into consideration your furniture, flooring, countertops and decorative accessories present and future. We devise an overall plan for your project so you will have a clear picture of the phases of this project and how it will flow and coordinate through your entire house or business. Our designer will then measure the space with attention to detail to calculate the square footage of the area. All the finishes are priced by the sq ft. The sq ft pricing is different for each finish depending upon the number of layers and type of application. Once the price quote is completed it is time to schedule the project. They take into consideration which part of your home or business would be most enhanced from your tromp l'oeil mural. Then the designer will discuss with you the theme for the mural whether it is doorway looking out on an Italian courtyard near the Mediterranean Sea, archways looking out to French vineyard, a scene of a beach and palms in tropical paradise, ect. Reproducing classic art as a tromp l'oeil mural is a wonderful option as well. The mural is there to take you to another place and to make your place truly original and unique. Our designer will ask many questions to find out what is best suited to your space, your taste, to design it custom for you. If you have an exact picture of what you want (perhaps a favorite vacation spot) we can reproduce it. Otherwise we collaborate together with ideas to create the best design possible. Once the size, theme and style are determined then the research process begins. We do an in depth study of the theme and subject matter for the tromp l'oeil mural. When the research phase is complete we provide a detailed description of the mural and placement of each aspect of the picture.
